I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Houston. Prior to my doctoral work at UH, I received a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Ewha Womans University.

My research agenda includes democratization, political participation, political culture, Time Series, and Causal Inference. My work has appeared in journals like Research & Politics and Statistics, Politics and Policy.

My teaching interests focus on Comparative Politics with regional expertise in East Asia, Research Design, and various Quantitative Methods. I have extensive teaching experience in courses including U.S. and Texas Constitutions and Politics, Statistics for Political Scientists, and Survey of East Asia.
